BABIES IN DA BELLY! |
This past weekend, my mom threw us a baby shower (Donnie's momma helped out as well). I was so touched by the friends and family that came to celebrate our lil' nugget, especially those who traveled the distance to get here. What a great weekend!
The shower was at the Four Points in Norwood, MA (shameless plug inserted here -- they're amazing!). Donnie and I decided to stay at the hotel with my family Saturday thru Monday, I am so glad we did! Watching the Pats game together, waking up and having breakfast, going swimming, there was so much going on! I felt like a kid at Disney -- I just didn't want it to end. Alas, it had to and as my mom reminded me, there's more excitement to come (oh yeah...the BABY will be here soon!).
We were SPOILED with gifts and gifts and more gifts! Along with piles of GREAT books since "bring-a-book" was the shower theme. I think we got just about everything we registered for (and then some). Now we just need to find room for it all. And that could be an entire entry itself -- the nesting has begun! I can't stop. I move piles of stuff from one end of the house to the other, I think of the most random To Dos at 11:30 at night (finding a pediatrician, needing diapers, installing the car seat...the list goes on). If I buy one more Tupperware bin for storage, Donnie is going to shove me in one and store me in the attic. ;) I keep telling him that it's all part of the process so, he takes a deep breath (can't wait to be able to do that again) and he lifts another 5 bins up into the attic. Such a sweet guy!
That's all for now. Thank you, again, Momma, for such a wonderful time!! We are so lucky to have so much support and love from everyone!
ps - My brother has the majority of pictures so, sorry if I missed a few that you might have been in!
Next post...the nursery...stay tuned!
